General Spread Reflection Prompts:
- Observe each of the cards individually, then consider its fit between the two cards that flank either side: what is the sequence like for each set of three (or more) elements?
- How do the three cards of a season interact with one another to describe a mini story sequence? How do the mini stories of 2026 foreshadow and celebrate each other?
- Look at the calendar month of each card; does the card energy and associations compliment or contrast its place in the season in which it resides? (Is it first, growing and purely eager? Full-bodied and glowing with the magnitude of the middle? Or, is it quiet, wise, and fully seasoned, ready to pass the time to the next season coming?)
- Consider your personal experiences, preferences, triggers, and other human messiness during each season or month; how do your pulled cards reflect these elements for you? Are they balanced out or intensified with the flavors of these base cards?
- What numbers are present in the spread, and which ones were completely omitted? Do any compliment the number of its calendar month? How do the digits present in the first half of the year compare to the second half?
A major arcana card is the Spirit Element coming in loud and clear. Reflection Prompts:
- What does safety and stability look like for the depicted card(s)? How does that shift throughout 2026?
- What does ego control that which Spirit wants to see in flow?
- What is the connection between the major cards shown; how large are the gaps in numerical sequence?
- Dig deep down through all the layers of societal conditioning, what does your Spirit know for sure about the energy of the shown card(s)? Not a guidebook’s explanation, but rather your inner knowing.
- In what ways do these Spirit cards crave demand to have fun?
- In what ways do the associations of your Spirit cards touch and are felt by your mundane practice? How does the mundane desire to be seen, touched, and held, feel to your Spirit?
- What does growth look like for each of the pulled major cards? (The next sequential major arcana is what your selected card is growing towards.)
A sword card is the Air Element swinging forth, straight for the head. Reflection Prompts:
- Am I in control and wielding my mind well?
- Can I conceptualize the connection between my thoughts and actions?
- What beliefs are asking to be cut away to make space for personal growth in 2026?
A wand card is the Fire Element illuminating our passion to help keep us moving right along. Reflection Prompts:
- What safety measures can I take to wield this Fire responsibly?
- What energy do I share with those around me?
- When was the last time I had fun for its own sake?
A pentacle card is the Earth Element offering nourishment for a slowed down, succulent, and satisfying lifelong experience. Reflection Prompts:
- What habits do/can I practice around this card that help me feel safe in my physical body throughout 2026?
- In what ways does physical touch manifest in the Earth cards depicted?
- What kind of nurturing is needed for growth in each phase?
A cup card is the Water Element holding space for all of humanity’s emotional energies in their fully felt and layered complexities. Reflection Prompts:
- What does emotional safety look like for the selected Water cards?
- How can these cards influence your connection with self and others during the months that the foundation is flowing?
- What underlying emotional energy is present in the card(s), and how does that contrast to that time of the year for you generally?
